  3. As the Allied death grip on the Third 
  4. Reich becomes ever tighter, the Luftwaffe 
  5. tries ever more desperate measures to 
  6. disrupt the Allies' operations wherever 
  7. they can.  Since the introduction of the 
  8. advanced Go 229 into Luftwaffe service, it 
  9. seems as though there are few places in 
  10. Europe that the Germans cannot reach 
  11. with their new super plane.  For this 
  12. reason, the home guard in England 
  13. remains vigilant against surprise attacks.

  15.                     YOUR MISSION
  16.  
  17. Your P-80 squadron has just received a 
  18. scramble order to intercept an incoming 
  19. raid.  Take off from Leiston airfield and 
  20. lead your wingman up to engage the 
  21. Luftwaffe fighter/bombers and their 
  22. escorts.  Three other P-80s are in the 
  23. landing pattern for Leiston, coming in low 
  24. on fuel.  Protect them as well as the B-17s 
  25. parked at Thorpe Abbots just north of 
  26. your position.
